Fausto was a minor character featured in A Fistful of Dollars. He was an outlaw affiliated with Don Miguel Rojo and his gang.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Nothing is known of Fausto's early life. He was likely born in Mexico and at some point turned to a life of crime, joining the Rojo family cartel based in the border town of San Miguel. He assisted them in their operations smuggling alcohol into the United States.

A Fistful of Dollars[]

Fausto may have participated in the massacre of Mexican soldiers along the Rio Bravo, led by Ramón Rojo. He also may have been present during the shoot-out between the Rojo and Baxter crime families in the cemetery near the town.

Paquito and friends

Paquito and his men inside the small house.

Later, after the Stranger kidnaps Marisol while searching the Rojo hacienda, the Baxter family arranges a deal in which they will trade Marisol for Antonio Baxter, captured earlier during the cemetery gunfight. Ramón orders Marisol to be kept under guard at the small house, a safe house located in the outskirts of town. Paquito is ordered to take five men and put her under guard. The Stranger confronts Paquito and his men after sunset, gunning down all but one in quick succession; an injured Fausto survives and attempts to ambush a distracted Joe, but he is warned by Marisol and quickly kills the bandit by throwing a machete through his chest.
